Artwork by Sidney S Schreiber
"Continue to express your creative impulses, whatever the outcome."
Sidney Schreiber is a self-taught painter and has been painting for more than 50 years. His works hang in London, New Zealand, San Francisco, New York, Cleveland and Boston.
Realism was evident in his earlier paintings, but the major body of his work is impressionistic.
Since he is now legally blind with macular degeneration, he can no longer paint in his accustomed manner. Although the results are now not as visualized in his mind, he still finds joy in picking up a paintbrush. "Infinity" was painted after his vision deteriorated.
He hopes to convey the message to others who are visually impaired to continue to express their creative impulses, whatever the outcome.
